How to play Sequence in the Sequence Rivals app

Goal

Make sequences of 5 chips in a row — horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. 2 or 4 players need 2 sequences to win. 3 players need 1.

Free corners

The four FREE corners count for every team. Use them to finish a line faster.

Playing cards

Play a card from your hand onto a matching empty board space, then place your chip. Each rank/suit appears twice on the board.

Two-eyed Jacks

WILD

Wild place — put a chip on any open space that is not already occupied.

One-eyed Jacks

REMOVE

Remove an opponent chip that is not part of a completed sequence. You cannot remove your own team’s chips.

Dead cards

If both board copies of a card are covered, that hand card is dead. Exchange it, then still take your normal turn.

Turn timer

You have 30 seconds per turn. If the clock expires, a legal card is auto-played for you.

Teams (4 players)

Partners sit opposite and share chip color. Turns go clockwise so teams always alternate.

Hint

Suggests a strong legal move while you learn spacing, blocks, and sequence threats.

Undo

From the pause menu, revert your last play before the bot responds — perfect for experimenting.

Draws happen when no player has a legal play and the draw pile cannot be reshuffled from discards. Keep pressure on the board and manage dead cards to avoid a stalemate.
